Lauras Website

A girl from new york state named Laura age 10 created a website showing all the nice things she has done for people in then past months. I think she is a bit braggy about doing all these things such as shoveling drive ways and making her dads birthday dinner because everyday people do good things for people and they don't go making websites about it. So I say that we as a nation should do nice things for people for things but not brag about it. Just do good things and remain anonymous. To make a difference I'm going to try and rid the world of annoying little girls who brag about good deeds that they do. You can see this braggy little girls annoying website at http://twentyfivedays.wordpress.com/. So here's what i have to say to you Laura, you are not a hero, fireman, policemen doctors and nurses are hero's. You are just an annoying little girl who just dose small little things that probably make absolutely no difference to anyone that you "help". So just stop being such a little super girl and just go home and be happy with what you do

EVAN TREMBLEY IS A MORON by: jake lovitz

Evan Trembley is a moron. there was a email going around saying a 15 year old boy named Evan Trembley has been missing. The email was supposedly sent out by his upset mother that was trying to find him. At first i felt really bad that this kid was missing and i wanted to forward it to everybody else. Then i googled him.
Turns out that the 15 year old boy missing from Canada was a hoax. Evan Trembley made it up as a joke and got it circulated on the Internet. This is so stupid because there are real people with real problems out there and some stupid kid from Texas is circulating a fake missing person report and getting people to try and help him instead of them helping people who really need it. Evan Trembley is an awful person and should be ashamed of himself

Did You Know?

The slide show "did you know" was very informing. I learned lots of new thing that surprised and even shocked me to find out. One of the most shocking things that i learned was about how that scientist in the next 10 years predict that china will be the # 1 English speaking country, even more than the U.S. I believe we were shown this slide show to show us how much technology is changing the world around us and how much we are affected by it. All in all it was very interesting and entertaining.

youtube an orginal post by mike weiss

In one video I watched i saw one girl making fun of another girl. She completely destroyed this girl. She made fun of the girls appearence and social status. The video showed the girl that was the one making fun of the other one on a stage speaking into a microphone, and then they would cut into the face of girl who was being made fun of.I found this video exetremely convincing against cyber bullying. The first girl was saying the most horrible things about the other, while the victims face displayed such shock and emotion. The video ended by saying if you wouldn't say it in person don't say it online, and thats an exetremely good point. The second video I watched was of a picture up on a billboard, and everytime someone took it, a new copy of the same picture would show, just to show how you can't take back digital images. The picture spread throughout the school and most of the school saw it. In the end the girl tried to get rid of it but couldn't, and then the janitor found it and liked it.This movie showed me how if you put something online, everybody could see it and you can't take it back. It also showed me how things you post can affect you later on in life, in some cases it affects you quickly. It can even lead to older people find out who you are and what you look like. The third video i watched dealt with bullying in schools. It had the song "welcome to my life" by simple plan while kids held up posters. At first the posters said that it happens here, that is to say, bullying happens there. Then they posters could also say "I get bullied" then they would go to say facts about bullying. In the end the posters said "I will be a hero"I found this video very very moving and very very inspiring. It was also exetremely revealing to some of the dangers of bullying. It was moving to see the kids faces, as they were all young kids and that this shouldn't be happening to them. It was moving to see the posters saying I will be a hero and it made me want to be one too.
